Reading… Brooklyn by Colm Tóibín. Book number 3 in The Big Book Challenge. I saw the film when it came out in the cinema and loved it so I decided to give it a go.

Watching… no new TV shows because I’m trying to cut down on series binges. I am still watching Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder, Blue Bloods, The Good Wife & Hawaii Five-O on a weekly basis, which is more than enough.

Listening to… Gavin James’ debut album Bitter Pill. AMAZING! Go get it.

Pinning… home decor including a lot of monochrome, book nooks and quotes about travel and more on gender inequalities.

Drinking… too much Diet Coke, as usual.

Considering… what I’ll do with the 2 weeks off for Easter.

Purging… lots of paper and old old unused scrapbook materials

Enjoying… reading more.

Cooking… fried onions, mushrooms & spinach with garlic. Yum!!

Organising… the craft room for the bazillionth time so I can use it more coming into the warmer weather. It’s the coldest room in the house.

Loving… The slightly longer days, glimpses of sunshine and gorgeous sunsets.

Looking forward to… St. Patrick’s Day this Thursday!

My Bedroom

Reading… Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith (a.k.a J.K. Rowling). Book number 3 for Galbraith. I’m only about 60 pages in and it’s a little slow but I’m hoping it turns out as good as the first 2.

Watching… Rookie Blue. I’m almost finished the final season and I’m getting a bit emotional. My favourite characters are Nick and Oliver.

Listening to… Adele’s latest album. It’s not living up to 21 but it’s growing on me.

Pinning…hair pics and gender equality quotes. See, you can be girly and a feminist.

Trying… soaked porridge oats with natural yogurt and fruit for breakfast. It’s making a nice change and tastes quite nice.

Drinking… less alcohol than this time last year. Trying to cut down a bit on all things bad for me. Don’t ask about the diet coke!! Please.

Considering…a trip to Amsterdam in the summer.

Scrapping… I still have catching up to do with my Project Life album from 2015 (ahem, and 2014) but I created my cover page for 2016 last week and now I’m working on my January spread. Keeping on top of it this year, I swear…kinda…hopefully!

Enjoying… spending time in my bedroom. I’ve had trouble getting to sleep lately so I’ve been going up to my room earlier than normal and trying to relax for a while before it’s time to sleep. I love the brightness of my bedroom even at this time of year. Also, it’s kind of pathetic how much new cushions make me happy. (see the middle cushion above from Penneys)

Cooking…lots of turkey dishes. Burgers, meatballs, tacos.

Planning…blog posts for the next couple of months.

Hating… The really cold, miserable weather but I’m looking forward to the light at the end of the tunnel.

Taking….the Ali Edwards’ One Little Word 2016 workshop.

Looking forward to…a great year ahead.

2015

Last year I wrote a similar post about my December plans. It’s probably my favourite month of the year. I love Christmas and I feel that the Christmas cheer starts the minute December does. I don’t like to engage in it too much before December but the odd little bit sneaks in. I just started my shopping this past weekend and I’ve bought my first present. So my plans for December are:

  1. Wish my friend Emsy a happy birthday today. Second last of the group to turn 28.
  2. My mam’s birthday is the tomorrow & we’re planning on going to see the Hunger Games at some stage this week.
  3. Think of ideas for what I might like for Christmas. My family always appreciate ideas, as do I.
  4. Take a trip to New York with some of my friends for shopping, drinking & soaking up the Christmas spirit. I can’t wait. I’ve only been once before but I love New York.
  5. Welcome my lovely friend Kiara and her little family home from Australia on the 9th after over a year. I still can’t believe they’re coming home and CANNOT wait to see them.
  6. Go to see the Riptide Movement in Whelan’s on the 11th.
  7. Possibly take part in The 12 Pubs of Christmas on the 12th. I haven’t done it before so I’ll decide closer to the time.
  8. Plenty of Christmas shopping.
  9. Christmas nails…it’s ridiculous how much I look forward to them.
  10. Christmas dinner & drinks with my friends from work/college.
  11. Kris Kindle night with my girls. A few drinks in one of our houses swapping presents followed by a night out.
  12. Go to the 2FM concert on the 23rd in the 3 Arena. There are lots of different acts playing including Hozier, The Riptide Movement (again! Stalking much?) and Gavin James. I’m really excited to see Gavin James. I should have seen him twice this year already but keep missing him, so hopefully third times a charm.
  13. Wrapping my presents.
  14. Enjoy drinking, eating and generally being merry.
  15. Spending Christmas Day with my lovely family.

Anyone else planning out their December?

Enjoying….the spring flowers & slightly longer days.

Listening to….a new chill out playlist including Ellie Goulding ‘How Long will I Love You’. I’m kinda obsessed with that song.

Watching….Scandal. I’ve nearly watched them all & I’m addicted.

Reading…’I Am Malala’ the life story of Malala Yousafzai the Pakistani girl who was shot by the Taliban for standing up for her education. Wow is she inspirational.

Jade, Jennie, Emma and I

I went to the Big Reunion concert in the 02 last night with my girls. We had a great laugh reliving our teens, dancing and singing away in the pit.
