Reading… Deceptions by Kelley Armstrong. At least I was until my car was broken into and it was taken inside my bag. I’ll need to buy a second copy.

Watching… Power. Season 2, hooked! I’m also watching Ozark. I’m about half way through the first season. I’m enjoying it but waiting for it to pick up pace a little.

Listening to… Casefile podcasts. I listened to their 3 part podcast on Jonestown because I find Cults fascinating. I always have. Now I’m listening to them on the way to and from work. If you are interested in true crime then I’d highly recommend them.

Celebrating… Chief turning 10 at the weekend! He’s really turning into a grumpy old man but he was very happy with the steak he got for his birthday treat!

Focussing on… work mostly!

Eating… lots of smoked salmon and poached eggs but unfortunately all of the things I shouldn’t eat too!

Happy… about my new haircut. It was badly in need of a cut.

Scrapping… my 2017 Project Life spreads. I’ve just started this year so I’ve got my cover page and January completed.

Purging… beauty products and old make-up that I will never use or is most likely passed its use by date.

Planning… to make some healthy soups this week and to plan my meals a bit better in the hopes I don’t fall off the wagon!

Enjoying… a couple of unexpected days off work due to Storm Ophelia. Thankfully we didn’t get hit badly but my thoughts go out to the parts of the country that were and the people who lost their lives.

Looking forward to… A trip to Paris that Dave got for my 30th birthday. We’re going next month!!

Reading… The Shack by Wm Paul Young. I didn’t realise the movie had just come out so it’s a happy coincidence. I look forward to watching it once I’m done reading. This book has been on my list for a very very long time.

Watching… Grey’s, Grey’s and more Grey’s. Almost finished season 11 though so suggestions for TV shows are welcome now for when my Grey’s anatomy journey ends.

Listening to… Elise Gets Crafty Podcasts again! Season 4 has just begun and I really really enjoyed episode 1.

Drinking… Wine!! I drank two glasses of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc last week and really liked it. This might be the year that I become a wine drinker. That would make life easier on holidays when I’m trying to figure out what the hell to drink. (it’s important that I point out that I mean holidays in the Irish sense – as in vacation to any American or Canadian readers – although if I’m giving off the impression that I only drink a few times a year at like Christmas etc. I’m cool with that too!)

Focussing on… getting all things work tidied up before I finish up for most of July and August. Yay!

Eating… pizza…today anyway…

Scrapping… my 2016 Project Life spreads. I’m getting there slowly but surely. I should have the 2016 year finished in the next couple of weeks.

Purging… clothes and cheap sunglasses. I have an embarrassing amount of them.

Cooking… thai curries with prawns, so many prawns.

Looking forward to… A wedding in two weeks and then a few days in Kerry all going well.

Reading… The Woman Who Stole My Life by Marian Keyes. I forgot how easy and fun her books are to read. I did not forget how funny she is. Her sense of humour is just brilliant.

Watching… Still hooked on Grey’s Anatomy. I’m almost at the end of season 9 now. What the hell am I going to do with my evenings when I catch up?

Listening to… TED Talks on my Podcast app while I drive. I’m learning all sorts of things in mostly 16-18 minute time slots.

Drinking… more water….finally!

Focussing on… getting back on track with my weight loss. I’ve been seriously slacking since December. Losing & gaining the same few pounds but I’m trying to be a bit more disciplined again.

Enjoying… some May sunshine in Ireland. Hopefully it lasts through the weekend!Although he hates the sun, my partner in crime, Chief, can’t help but sit out there with me when I’m reading.

Pinning… my own blog posts!

Considering… a trip to Bratislava in the summer.

Reading… 100 Pep Talks by Elise Blaha Cripe. I love everything she does and turning last year’s 100 Day Project into a book was a great idea. I’m falling asleep very quickly at night so I’m not getting through any books in a hurry.

Watching… Still hooked on Grey’s Anatomy. I’m on season 7 now, addicted and pretty sure I could perform emergency surgery if needed. I’m also catching up on the latest season of Homeland. I love it but it’s 1 of those shows I have to binge watch so I record the whole season & watch it over a couple of days. Just 2 episodes to go…

Listening to… Ed Sheeran’s new album, on repeat. Pretty sure I can sing it word for word at this stage.

Drinking… too much alcohol. It’s something about brighter weekends then make cider a great idea.

Making… lists using my new rainbow list sticky notes from ‘Get To Work Book’.

Enjoying… having 2 weeks off for Easter. I’m getting a big wardrobe clear-out done and it feels good!!

Looking forward to… a long weekend in Wexford for the May bank holiday.

Considering…where we might go for a summer holiday. Any suggestions?

Currently-Feb17

Reading… ‘Why Not Me?’ by Mindy Kaling. I’m not far into it but so far it’s living up to her first book ‘Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?’. The woman is a comical genius.

Watching… 2 completely different things. The first is Fortitude. I’m a little behind as I’m only a little more than half way through season 1. The second is the total opposite end of the spectrum with Grey’s Anatomy. I need something light and fun to balance out the seriousness of Fortitude.

Listening to… Elise Cripe’s podcast ‘Elise Gets Crafty’. It’s my favourite and I have a good few to catch up on so I’m listening to them on the drive to and from work.

Pinning… gel nail inspo and healthy(ish) food ideas.

Drinking… a lot more tea than I used to…

Scrapping… nothing and feeling guilty about it.

Enjoying… a slightly quieter February after a pretty chaotic January.

Cooking… a lot of easy dinners like turkey burgers and sweet potatoes

Focusing on… saving more and spending less. It’s not going too badly but I could still watch my spending a little more.

Looking forward to… a trip to Budapest in early March!!

April

Reading… ‘Not That Kind of Girl’ by Lena Dunham. I’m not enjoying it as much as I’d hoped which means I’m reading less and falling behind on The Big Book Challenge.

Watching… I’ve just finished watching Chicago P.D. and now I’m starting Chicago Fire. I like the idea that there’s a few TV shows happening in conjunction with each other. Lovin’ the crossovers.

Listening to… George Ezra ‘Wanted on Voyage’. It’s bringing back all the feels of me bopping away on my own (with lots of strangers) to him at Electric Picnic last year.

Pinning…Project Life layout inspiration.

Drinking… Less Diet Coke as of this week. 2 can per day is my lot but I’m not feeling too optimistic about weekends.

Scrapping…February & March’s Project Life spreads. Pictures are printed and I’m working on completing the spreads now. It feels good to be up almost to date.

Enjoying… The longer, brighter days now that the clocks have changed.

Cooking…Using the new Slow Cooker. We’ve had some lovely pork chops and chicken curry so far. I’m looking forward to trying something more sweet next.

Purging… Kitchenware and baking materials. The last month has seen a big attic and food press clear out.

Planning…My meals a week in advance to try and get back on track with my weight loss plan.

Looking forward to…pay day! Feeling kinda broke and that seems to be a regular thing these days.

Reading… Brooklyn by Colm Tóibín. Book number 3 in The Big Book Challenge. I saw the film when it came out in the cinema and loved it so I decided to give it a go.

Watching… no new TV shows because I’m trying to cut down on series binges. I am still watching Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder, Blue Bloods, The Good Wife & Hawaii Five-O on a weekly basis, which is more than enough.

Loving… The slightly longer days, glimpses of sunshine and gorgeous sunsets.

Looking forward to… St. Patrick’s Day this Thursday!

My Bedroom

Reading… Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith (a.k.a J.K. Rowling). Book number 3 for Galbraith. I’m only about 60 pages in and it’s a little slow but I’m hoping it turns out as good as the first 2.

Watching… Rookie Blue. I’m almost finished the final season and I’m getting a bit emotional. My favourite characters are Nick and Oliver.

Listening to… Adele’s latest album. It’s not living up to 21 but it’s growing on me.

Pinning…hair pics and gender equality quotes. See, you can be girly and a feminist.

Trying… soaked porridge oats with natural yogurt and fruit for breakfast. It’s making a nice change and tastes quite nice.

Drinking… less alcohol than this time last year. Trying to cut down a bit on all things bad for me. Don’t ask about the diet coke!! Please.

Considering…a trip to Amsterdam in the summer.

Scrapping… I still have catching up to do with my Project Life album from 2015 (ahem, and 2014) but I created my cover page for 2016 last week and now I’m working on my January spread. Keeping on top of it this year, I swear…kinda…hopefully!

Enjoying… spending time in my bedroom. I’ve had trouble getting to sleep lately so I’ve been going up to my room earlier than normal and trying to relax for a while before it’s time to sleep. I love the brightness of my bedroom even at this time of year. Also, it’s kind of pathetic how much new cushions make me happy. (see the middle cushion above from Penneys)

Cooking…lots of turkey dishes. Burgers, meatballs, tacos.

Planning…blog posts for the next couple of months.

Hating… The really cold, miserable weather but I’m looking forward to the light at the end of the tunnel.

Taking….the Ali Edwards’ One Little Word 2016 workshop.

Looking forward to…a great year ahead.

imageReading… The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith (a.k.a J.K. Rowling). It’s taking me an absolute lifetime to get through it because I seem to keep falling asleep after 3 pages.

Watching… 90210. I wanted something that was easy watching for a couple of weeks & now I’m kind of hooked.

Listening to… Some 90s cheese, The Beatles & The Riptide Movement.

Trying… Meditation. I went to a class for the first time last week and loved it. I’ll be signing up for more in September.

Drinking… Diet Coke as usual but I’ve been trying infused water lately. Next up…berry.

Scrapping… Catching up with my Project Life album. I was WAY behind. I’m getting there though.

Going to… See Ed Sheeran in concert on Friday.

Looking forward to… New York in December.

Enjoying….the spring flowers & slightly longer days.

Listening to….a new chill out playlist including Ellie Goulding ‘How Long will I Love You’. I’m kinda obsessed with that song.

Watching….Scandal. I’ve nearly watched them all & I’m addicted.

Reading…’I Am Malala’ the life story of Malala Yousafzai the Pakistani girl who was shot by the Taliban for standing up for her education. Wow is she inspirational.
